Description
Game: Los Angeles Dodgers vs San Francisco Giants (NL West rivals)
Venue: Dodger Stadium
Date: Fri Sep 18, 2026
First pitch: 19:10 PDT
Attendees: 5 — Nicolas, Valerie, Angelo, Olivia, Benoit
Context: Benoit's first-ever MLB game (and first US visit). Rivalry game = strong atmosphere.
Priority: Medium — late regular-season game, plenty of inventory in a 56k stadium, but 5 seats together get harder closer to gameday for a rivalry game.
Seating strategy¶
Primary target — Loge Level (best balance: field view, food/restroom access, atmosphere, price):
- Preferred: sections 157LG–165LG (3rd base side)
- Alternate: sections 145LG–153LG (1st base side)
- Rows: roughly A–L if pricing is acceptable
- Best pick if affordable: Loge 159–163, rows F–L
Budget alternative — Reserve Level (still very good view, easier to find 5 together):
- Sections 1RS–10RS or 23RS–36RS
- Best pick: Reserve 5RS–9RS or 25RS–35RS
Why 3rd base side for this game: Night game starting 19:10; LA sunset ~18:54 PDT. 3rd base side gets less sunset glare during the first half-hour.
Avoid for a first MLB game:
- Outfield Pavilion — fun but rowdy, harder to follow the game
- Top Deck — cheapest but very far, less immersive
Hard constraint¶
5 seats TOGETHER in a single row. This drives section/row choice — narrower rows fill up first for a rivalry game, so this should be locked in early.

Evening logistics (informs trip planning)¶
- Arrive Dodger Stadium ~18:00–18:15 (parking + walk-in)
- Typical MLB game today: ~2h35–3h10 → expected end 21:45–22:30
- Expected departure: 22:15–23:15+ (DS parking egress adds 30–45 min)
- Could run longer with extra innings
To do¶
Book ASAP — low risk but worth locking in for the 5-together requirement.
