**Tour:** Antelope Canyon guided tour (mandatory — no self-guided entry)
**Date:** Wed Sep 23, 2026, **early morning** morning
 **Guests:** 2 — Nicolas + Benoit

 ## 🎯 Decided: **Decision pending:** Upper vs Lower Antelope Canyon — Ken's Tours — 7:00 AM slot

 ### Why Lower Antelope (waiting on Benoit's preference)
 - **Time efficient** **Upper Antelope**operator is AT the canyon entrance, flat, no shuttle (Upper requires 30-45 min shuttle each way from Page) climbing, wider corridors, famous for light beams (not in Sept). Easier.
 - **Total time investment: ~1.5h** vs ~2.5-3h **Lower Antelope** — some steel ladders, V-shaped, swirling walls, more photogenic. Less crowded.

 **Tour time:** Aim for Upper
 - **Saves ~1.5h on a packed Wednesday** (Page ~7:30-9:00 AM slot to allow Page → MV scenic loopTusayan)
 - **More photogenic** per most photographers (V-shaped, swirling walls)
 - **Less crowded**
 - **Light beams** (Upper's main draw) don't show in mid-September anyway — sun is too low Cameron drive afterwards.

 ### Why **Operators:** Ken's Tours specifically
 - **Earliest start** of any operator: 7:00 AM (Dixie (Lower), Antelope Canyon Tours (Upper), Dixie Ellis typically starts later)
 - Located right at canyon entrance: Indian Route 222 off Hwy 98 E (Antelope Point Marina turn-off)
 - Phone: (928) 645-6997
 - Site: lowerantelope.com

 ### Booking details to confirm
 - 7:00 AM (Navajo time = MDT) slot
 - 2 adults
 - ~1.5h tour including descent + ascent via steel staircases
 - Ladders may be a consideration if mobility issues (none expected for the brothers)

 ## Trade-off accepted
 - Lower has ladders (vs flat Upper) — fine for both Nicolas and Benoit
 - No light beams — not a factor in September
 - Less iconic photo of the round-corridor look of Upper (Lower), Antelope — swap for the V-shaped Lower Antelope shots

 ## Booking-time priority
 - Sept 23 morning slots fill up months in advance
 - Book ASAP
 - Cost estimate: ~$80-100/pp = ~$160-200 total Slot Canyon Tours by Chief Tsosie (Upper).
